You can go through your life never truly seeing the truth in much of anything
There are moments where the truth is right in front of you but because of who you are you are willing to believe that there must be another side to it all
We tend to build people up in our minds and in our hearts
Over time it becomes such a natural reaction that we are living total lies based on the fact that the truth could hurt us so badly we dare not face it
When it comes to family you believe that they would do whatever it would take for you to be all right because in your heart and in your past you have done the same for them
Unselfishly giving and sacrificing to work to get to a point in your life where your entire family would never have to work so hard ever again
You sit back and watch how they support strangers with their dreams while constantly overlooking yours
Everything you have tried to become successful has been difficult yet you still try
The pain, disappointment, setbacks, and road blocks only strengthen your need to push forward because we all know that once your journey is discovered and you are getting closer to your goal there are demons put in place to stop you from achieving those goals, to reach those dreams, to discover your full potential
Just because you carry the same name, share the same blood, share the exact same parents doesn’t mean that you are going to have that support, that love, that unselfish giving spirit
It is very painful to admit that some people in your family could never really honestly love you and support you but it gets easier to understand and accept
You start to see the truth because your faith in happiness, love, success, and just a better life becomes this strong gust of wind that blows all of your doubts and false hopes away
You see that the world you lived is nothing like the real world on the flipside of the mirror
The ones that support you and love you are the ones that are honest, forthcoming, human, but very real
So once you can see clearly ahead you will see your destination and when you make it to your completed journey your appreciation for the success will be that much greater
The process happens the way it does so that you have the right people in your corner when you are living the dream, the vision, the life you were meant to live
Don’t feel guilty about cutting false support out of your life, feel grateful that you are able to see them

The Bonds That Never Were
It's strange when you think about it
You grow up around these people and feel that there is a deeper connection
You hear how alike you are to them and that makes you feel that the connection is that much stronger
You suffer through pain, sorrow, good, bad, devastating, and unthinkable moments in life
You feel that through that you can build something even stronger
Then all of a sudden you see the truth
It can be ugly, it can be painful, it can be hurtful, and down right silly as all get out
When you step back and revisit the life you've lived, you realize how less and less important these people were in your life
You see that all you've done was support, look the other way, and allow them to use you until there is nothing left
Your back has been stabbed so many times that you become immune to pain, you become unaware when someone actually cares for you
The great thing about these experiences is that you eventually find someone that loves you for you
This person steps in and protects you from the pain that you've fought for years
They see the real you and holds you that much tighter
The saddness turns into strength and awareness
You see that those that try to break you are weak them selves
You see that these people cannot hold on to love because they barely love them selves
Your anger towards them turns into pity
You see that you are stronger than they are in so many ways
You realize that just because a bond is there it doesn't mean that everyone will respect it
You've been taken for granted for too long so now you want to break away from them
When you walk away from them you know in your heart that you will never see them the same
You realize that the lie was you were ever close in the first place
A spiritual awakening is when you realize that you are born alone and you will die alone, but you don't have to go through life alone
Enemies are in different shapes and forms
They can be family and friends
The most dangerous kinds are the ones that are in your life not by choice but by blood
The way to live and not allow those painful feelings to turn you bitter is to accept those people for what they are and respect the fact that you can never be close and could never let your walls down
When you walk away from them you can make up your mind that this decision is best for you all and life opens up for you
Hate is fueled by people that never truly say everything they feel and are afraid to allow vulnerability to show in the midst of those that want to hurt them
Being humble is when you accept your strengths and weaknesses
When you realize that you are merely human and you have the ability to do the most impossible
It took me many years to see that and accept it
Now I am a better person for it
Don't rush the discovery, allow time to groom you for it
That way when you get there you will learn from the past and you won't relive those moments again

V-Day To Christopher Watkins
Love is the divining moment in life when you have found the one that completes that void that was placed on your life for so very long
It is when you no longer feel that nagging emotion that draws you to all of the wrong people
It is when you see for the first time your future through the eyes of another
It is when you sleep with peace in your heart and in your mind
Love is the bond that intertwines you to someone that feels your every emotion
Love is when you have no clue why this person means so much to you and you can no longer live without them
This person that stands before you keeps you strong, allows you to let go, allows you to cry, to vent your frustrations, to get angry with the world, to want to just let it all drop out of your arms
This person allows all of that, yet loves you through it, understands who you really are, knows that those feelings don’t make up the person you have become
He stands there holding you, protecting you, being your partner in life and in love
When you find this person things around you change forever
People no longer affect your emotions because he balances you out in a way no one can
His kisses make you high and happy even when the worse is surrounding you
He is your inspiration through the troubled roads you face together
He is the navigator that guides you right where you should be, need to be, and will be
He is your soul mate, your love in life and your love for life
There is truly someone out there for everyone and I am so blessed to have found the one for me

The Fuel To Move
When all else fails utilize what is at your disposal. People in your circle bring both positive and negative energy. The key to maintaining a positive balance is to recognize their purpose and to accept what it is that they represent. Never feel unhappy, shocked, surprised or hurt when people do exactly what is expected of them. Take your power and feed it into your life, use it as fuel to keep you motivated, keep you focused, and keep you constantly charged for the roads ahead.

When A Dream Comes True
You see the image as you close your eyes to sleep
When you wake you feel like there is a clearer path ahead
Yet you still feel so far away from it
You reach your hands out to grab and each time feeling that it's getting closer and closer until it is within reach
Right when you are about to grab it the distance starts to change, making it further
You feel frustrated and hopeless
You start doubting that it is the dream for you
You start looking at easier ways to do things instead of remaining focused on the dream you've had all your life
Before you know it so much time as pasted and that dream actually becomes just that...a dream
You try to move on and there are little images that past through your mind
You start feeling like you've forgotten something but you can't put your finger on it
Then someone asks you about your dream, wondering if you totally stopped want to accomplish it
At that moment your passion appears again, this time stronger than ever
The thought that someone saw you accomplishing that dreams gives you that inner strength that you needed to get you back on track
Before you know it you are back on the grind and feeling like you can't let you or anyone else down
It gives you more responsibility and purpose
When that dream is reached you will hold tightly to it and never take it for granted ever again
Living your dream gives you a stronger insight on life
When you see that next person who was going through what you went through you know that it's your responsibility to help them
Because it is always a blessing to be a blessing
